Vale of Clwyd MP Dr James Davies has welcomed progress on a new Business Park in Prestatyn after being told during a tour of the units that they will be “move-in ready” this summer.

The former Kwik Save warehouses on Warren Drive are being transformed into a space for modern employment use.

James recently had a site visit and was impressed by progress.

He was also pleased to be told that the units will be available for businesses to move into this summer.

Commenting after his visit, James said:

“This site was an eyesore for many years, after Kwik Save left in 1998. It had attracted seagulls and was frequently targeted by vandals. I received regular complaints from residents about the state of it, and was therefore extremely pleased when plans were announced to develop the site into a business park.

“The development, entitled 'Prestatyn Business Park', is due to provide a couple of dozen much needed small storage, light industrial and office units.

“When I recently visited the site and was given a tour of the units by the developer, I was told that all accommodation would be move-in ready for summer 2024.”

There is approximately 80,000 sq ft of space available, set across three blocks. The units range from around 1,400 sq ft up to 5,000 sq ft, with potential for larger units up to the size of a full block. Block A, for example, could offer 25,000 sq ft of space with an acre yard.

Yards will be available either independently or with larger lettings.

There is a large power supply available, and diverse usage options (subject to planning).

James added:

“I have been told by the developer that they are willing to collaborate with tenants to tailor the ideal environment for their needs.

“There will be flexible office suites starting from single-occupant spaces, and office spaces available up to 10,000 sq ft.

“They also told me that they are finding that demand is very high due to the lack of similar property in the area and that they are excited about filling the gap and  housing a diverse group of tenants.

“As a former County Councillor, and now as Member of Parliament, along with many residents, I have invested a great deal of time over the years in trying to ensure a good outcome for the site. I am therefore thrilled that the development has progressed so well and that we are very close to seeing the Business Park opening, bringing economic benefits to our town.”
