My priorities for the Vale of Clwyd are: 

Improving accessibility and safety within the NHS in North Wales

I will continue to champion patient safety and challenge the lack of access and poor standards by calling for a public inquiry to be held. By securing UK-wide comparable statistics we will ensure that quality healthcare is not a postcode lottery.

Levelling Up our communities

Working with Denbighshire County Council, our application for £20 million from the Levelling Up Fund will be used to enhance and strengthen the town centres and services we all depend on. Regeneration of our High Streets, and support for local businesses, can help make the area the best place to live, work, and play, and provide more and better paid jobs.

Tackling crime and antisocial behaviour

North Wales have recruited an additional 145 police officers since I was elected, and I will work in Parliament to take this further. I want to secure a new police station in the heart of Prestatyn and a modern replacement station in the centre of Rhyl. It is vital that antisocial behaviour is stamped out in our town centres.

Improving transport

Regional transport requires vital investment to connect our communities. That is why I will work to secure the electrification and upgrading of the North Wales main line - improving comfort and journey time. I will also press for the improvement to bottlenecks on the A55.

Ensuring a brighter future for our young people

I want to see our young people have the best opportunities in life, and that requires a strong start. I will fight for new-build High School buildings in Prestatyn and Denbigh. I will work with businesses to promote apprenticeships and skills.

Maintaining and enhancing local quality of life and community pride

We must celebrate all that makes our community special. Working with community figures and businesses, I will ensure that local sports teams, charities, and arts groups get the support they need. I will also work to protect and enhance our beautiful environment.

I am aware of concerns relating to the noise levels generated by traffic using the Rhuddlan bypass. I conducted a survey of residents living in the immediate vicinity and received 156 responses: all highlighting the detrimental effect the noise is having on residents.
